Travel Information
By Air
- O’Hare International Airport (ORD): Approximately 16 miles from the hotel.
- Taxi/Rideshare: A taxi or rideshare (Uber/Lyft) from O’Hare typically takes around 35-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Estimated UberX cost is around $45.
- Public Transit (CTA Blue Line): Take the CTA Blue Line train from O’Hare to the Clark/Lake station. From there, you can transfer to a bus or take a short taxi/rideshare to the hotel. This option is generally more time-consuming but more economical.
- Shuttle Services: Various shuttle services are available from O’Hare. You can pre-book a shared shuttle van or a private car.
- Midway International Airport (MDW): Approximately 12 miles from the hotel.
- Taxi/Rideshare: A taxi or rideshare from Midway typically takes around 25-35 minutes, depending on traffic.
- Public Transit (CTA Orange Line): Take the CTA Orange Line train from Midway to the State/Lake station. From there, the hotel is approximately an 8 minute walk, or a short taxi/rideshare.
By Train (Metra)
- Millennium Station: This is the closest Metra station, located approximately a 14-15 minute walk from the hotel. Trains arriving here include the Metra Electric (ME) and South Shore Line (SSL).
- Other Metra Lines: If you are arriving on other Metra lines (BNSF, UP-N, UP-NW, RI), you will likely arrive at Ogilvie Transportation Center or Union Station. From these stations, you can take a short taxi/rideshare or connect to the CTA “L” train or bus services.
By Chicago “L” Train (CTA Elevated Train)
The closest “L” stations to the Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile are:
- State/Lake (Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple Lines): Approximately an 8-10 minute walk from the hotel.
- Grand-Red (Red Line): Approximately a 10-minute walk from the hotel. This is generally the most convenient “L” stop for direct access.
By Bus (CTA)
